From Good to Great at DST Output

Bristol based, leading communications and TransPromo specialist, DST Output has further cemented its position as a leading employer following the results of its 2008 employee survey.

Overall, the results showed that employees felt the company is a great place to work with 95% of employees stating that they felt proud to work at the company.

The high standard of leadership was also recognised by employees with over 88% recognising the proactive approach and importance placed on employee welfare by the company. In addition, 91% praised the creative, empowering culture within the company which is driven by CEO Tim Delahay.

Tim commented; “We place great importance on job satisfaction and creating a place where people like to work and our annual survey clearly demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement. We take all comments on board and ensure we constantly try to enhance processes and provide extensive training and development opportunities - with one of the best attrition rates in the country of just 0.6%, we must be doing something right!”

DST Output also strives to offer the best training and development opportunities and the survey shows that the large majority of employees agreed with this. In 2008 DST Output also achieved the Investors in People (IIP) standard with the inspectors report stating that the staff development strategies are ‘first class’ and ‘some of the best seen’. The company carried out 750 days of training for its 216 staff in 2008 alone

DST Output has also made four key appointments to its sales team including Mark Halford who joins as Sales Director. Led by Senior Sales and Marketing Director, David Lewis, the new appointments will bolster the company to a team of 216 dedicated employees.

Tim Delahay, CEO at DST Output, said: “These new appointments reflect our commitment to employing the highest calibre of employees throughout our business. We are embarking on some exciting new initiatives this year and ensuring we have the best team in place is essential.”

With over ten years experience in the transactional marketplace, Mark brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in strategic printing and print management. He will be largely responsible for growing business in the financial services and telecommunications markets.
